It was nice to see everyone from the Chicago MINI Motoring Club who came out this morning for the drive over to the 2006 Micro Car National Meet being held in Crystal Lake, Illinois. After gathering at a local Dunkin Donuts we took off for a short drive down some terrific suburban twisties en route to the micro cars.
Of particular interest to me were the classic Mini’s, Fiat’s and Subaru’s on display. There were also several BMW Isetta 300′s. I have a Flickr slide show with other images if you’re interested.

Hmmm looks like a Fiat 500 if I am not mistaken. I used to drive a yellow ‘K’ model around Munich many years agom… 20 odd bhp if I recall…. 6 volt battery, awfull lights and had to bump-start it everytime. Boy it was fun!
