Bill Gates on the Daily Show

I was slightly disappointed with Jon Stewart’s interview with Bill Gates yesterday on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (or perhaps more appropriately titled the Vista Infomercial with Jon Stewart). Just about every question Jon asked lacked imagination (though I did like the Flying Toasters comment). My perception of poor questioning is probably the result of Microsoft talking points for those less techno savvy (Jon did apologize upfront for not being much of a PC user).

In any case, the Daily Show fully redeemed itself tonight by crashing with an IE error explaining why Bill prematurely left the stage prior to commercial. The error box said in part, “Bill Gates has encountered a problem and needs to leave. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve Bill Gates.”

Are you guys kidding? The F12 button question was awesome. I don’t think you can blame Stewart for that. I think Gates is just pretty stiff.
